Marc and I first met when he asked Hal and Sidra Stone, the creators of Voice Dialogue (a practice exploring sub-personalities), who in Australia, was doing their work? And they recommended me. We worked solidly and successfully for two years before he returned to the States. In the meantime I had gone to Boulder, Colorado, to do some very intense work myself with Deane Schank, one of A. H. Almaas' Senior Diamond Heart instructors. On my return to Australia I gave Marc a detailed account of the work done and recommended it highly to him, suggesting that he contact Deane. The rest is history, Marc had found his path. The unrelenting dedication which Marc devoted to working through early trauma and discovering the essential depths that lay beneath, started producing results so exquisitely valuable that he found himself wanting to share them. Approaching 93 and no longer working professionally, but having someone who I know has done the homework on themselves, and who can be trusted to work with integrity, is a relief and a delight. Marc works at the cutting edge where mind reaches out to spirit. Lucky you, if you have the chance to work with him.
Lydia Duncan, Psychotherapist
My work with Marc over an intense two year period was the most significant inner explorations I have undertaken. For me, Essencework provides the most mature and powerful methods available today of exploring one’s innermost self. The key to this is that it takes what is currently happening in your life right now and what the outer world or inner emotions are presenting you to deal with, so it forms the perfect opening to inner work. For people who have tried other approaches and are hungry for a profound interaction with one’s nature, I highly recommend it. Marc is a masterful guide of this process as he holds the space for whatever is trying to emerge to safely come to the surface. His gentle but firm presence and understanding allows you to move through the layers of your psyche to your very core. My notes from our countless sessions continue to provide me with a rich tapestry of the preciousness of one’s life and I am now able to weave elements of the approach into my work with clients. I thank Marc for giving me the insight, strength and freedom to continue the journey.
Toni Scoble, Core Insight
When I am in crisis and go to Marc for insight, he has the ability to see through the external situation and uncover the underlying problem. By turning the problem back to me and my core issues he gives me the potential to transform the situation into something positive, into personal empowerment and an expansion of understanding.
John Lethbridge, Artist, Art Teacher, and Astrologer
A true teacher is one who shows you the nature of your being, The real nature of mind. The teachings say that to meet a true teacher is the highest goal of a human being, because the other great attainments in life then follow. Such a teacher is said to bring light to the darkness. Marc Caleb Schaffer is such a rare teacher.
